How often should a temperature data logger be calibrated?
Twelve months is standard for loggers in storage and cold-chain monitoring. Loggers used as the record for regulated storage are sometimes placed on 6 months, following the customer's own procedures.
Why temperature and humidity data loggers drift
Temperature sensors in loggers are stable but not perfect, and humidity sensors drift noticeably with age and exposure to contaminants. A logger that is a degree out across a year of cold-room records is a year of records that need a footnote — calibration removes the doubt.
