Data logger calibration for manufacturing

Cold rooms, warehouses, curing rooms and cleanrooms across Perth manufacturing are monitored by data loggers, and the records they produce are what an auditor or a customer asks for after an excursion. A calibrated logger makes those records evidence rather than an estimate.

Data loggers produce records nobody looks at until something goes wrong — a cold-room excursion, a failed batch, an audit. AmpTech calibrates temperature and temperature-humidity data loggers in our Caversham lab against reference instruments traceable to national standards, at multiple points across the range you use.

Interval in manufacturing

12 months

ISO 9001; storage and cold-chain procedures

Setting the interval

Twelve months is standard for loggers in storage and cold-chain monitoring. Loggers used as the record for regulated storage are sometimes placed on 6 months, following the customer's own procedures.

What the calibration covers

  • Temperature reading against a reference thermometer at points between −25 °C and +140 °C
  • Humidity reading against a reference hygrometer at points across the range, where the logger measures it
  • External probes checked individually with the logger
  • Logged value versus displayed or reported value, confirmed from the download

What your certificate records

The certificate format manufacturing procurement and audit teams ask for: the equipment under test, its serial number, the reference instruments used, as-found and as-left readings, environmental conditions and a traceability statement, plus the temperature data logger-specific items below.

  • As-found and as-left readings at each temperature and humidity point
  • Reference instruments used, with traceability
  • Environmental conditions at the time of calibration

Standards & frameworks in manufacturing

  • ISO 9001 quality management system
  • ISO 10012 (referenced) — measurement management
  • AS/NZS 3760 for portable electrical equipment on plant
  • Customer-specific PPAP / quality requirements

How manufacturing clients get temperature and humidity data loggers to us

Calibration is performed in our Caversham lab — not on site. We collect from and deliver back to manufacturing workshops and offices across Perth, and instruments from regional sites come by freight or via your Perth base.

  • Canning Vale and Bibra Lake manufacturing precincts
  • Welshpool and Kewdale fabrication and assembly workshops
  • Malaga light industrial and trade workshops
  • Osborne Park commercial and QC laboratories

Working with manufacturing procurement

We work with quality and production teams to align calibration intervals with your control plan, supply certificates that map directly to your gauge register, and schedule recall reminders so nothing falls out of cal during a production run.

FAQ

Temperature data logger calibration for manufacturing FAQs

Can you stagger our loggers so monitoring is never interrupted?
Yes. Send them in two or more groups and we will set separate due dates so there is always a calibrated logger in service while the others are in the lab.
Do you calibrate the humidity channel too?
Yes, where the logger measures humidity it is checked against a reference hygrometer at points across the range, and the results appear on the same certificate as temperature.
Can you calibrate a batch of loggers from our cold rooms?
Yes. Loggers are commonly sent in batches; each is calibrated individually and returned with its own certificate and an itemised register.
